COLORS

 

The primary colors for the Tampa Titans Baseball Club are red (scarlet), white and blue (royal). 

 

DESIGN

 

For the last few seasons we have  toyed around with different logos, fonts, uniform, hat and pin artwork.  In the fall of 2008 we hit upon a uniform design that we are happy with and plan to keep for the foreseeable future.  The design is represented below in two color schemes.

 

 

 

The silk screen for this design is at B & B Sports on Nebraska Ave about one block south of Hanna.  The design was specifically created to allow it to be used on a number of colored jerseys by simply changing ink colors.  The design is based on a font called "Saddlebag", which we have bought the rights to and may be down loaded from the link below as a .zip file for PC (right click on the link and select "Save As...")

JERSEYS

 

We have used two styles of shirts with the above silk screening. 

• The first is an Augusta Sports Wear Dri-Fit Shirt, Model 790 (adult sizes) or Model 791 (youth sizes).  This shirt is cool in hot weather, does not shrink and wears well.  Screened as shown above the shirt is approx $13.00 (B & B Sports) YS, YM, YL, YXL, AS, AM, AL and AXL.  There is a $1.50 up-charge for shirts Adult sizes A2XL, $2.00 for A3XL and $3.00 for A4XL.   Numbers can be applied to the back as press-on's, but we have elected to go with a 2-color stitch on number to match the screening on the front (approx $4.00). Two color press on's do not adhere to one another well.  A word of caution about this shirt.  It runs a FULL SIZE SMALL.  If a player normally wears YXL, in this shirt they need an Adult Small or maybe an Adult Medium.  If a parent wears Adult Large, they need to order Adult XL in this style.

• The second is another Augusta Sports Wear Dri-Fit Shirt, Model 875 (adult sizes) or Model 876 (youth sizes).  This shirt is cool in hot weather, does not shrink and wears well and has silvera and white panels sitched in the shoulders.  Screened as shown above the shirt is approx $18.00 (B & B Sports) YS, YM, YL, YXL, AS, AM, AL and AXL.  There is likely an upcharge for larger sizes of this shirt as well, but I do not have specifics. As with the 790/791, numbers can be applied to the back as press-on's, but we have elected to go with a 2-color stitch on number to match the screening on the front (approx $4.00). Two color press on's do not adhere to one another well.  Unlike the Model 790/791 this shirt to runs true to size. It runs a normal size.  If a player normally wears YXL, in this shirt would need a YXL.  If a parent wears Adult Large, they need to order Adult L in this style

• We also have a third style shirt that we ordered from Gear-Up (inside Frozen Ropes).  This is a full button down Mizuno Polyester jersey made to match Mizuno Baseball pants.  While it wears well, they tend to run large and can be hot when the weather warms up.  The lettering and numbers are done through GearUp in red with a royal blue outline in a Tiffany Font.  Approximate cost is $38.25 with a single digit number (front and back), $5.00 for an extra digit.

HATS

 

We have in the past used MLB hats from the Texas Rangers as an off the shelf hat for the Titans Teams.  They have been available from various licensed manufacturers such as Outdoor Hat Company (through B & B for $5.99)  all the way up to Lids top end fitted hats for $32.99.  However we have found that more and more, the hats now include not just the Texas "T" but also the name "Rangers" either on the side or on the velcro fastener making them less attractive as Titans Team hats.

 

I have received a quote from B & B for a Richardson Mesh Hat (same model #414 as the Columbia Blue and Navy Hat used for  Temple Terrace PONY All Stars last spring).  This hat in either red crown/royal brim or royal crown/red brim (both stock models) with a 3-D stitched "T" on the front in a similar font will be $11.50 each.

 

PANTS

 

Over the years we have NOT found a style or brand of pants that appears to fit all players well.  Plus, many of our players wear their pants old school (up to knees) while other wear them full length (aka Manny Ramirez).  As such, we have decided to not buy pants as part of our uniforms.  Instead we have instructed our parents to simply buy a pair of plain white and a pair of plain grey pants (no piping, no stripe) for their son or daughter in the style, fit and brand they prefer. 

 

PRESERVING AND PROMOTING THE BRAND

 

While these jersey styles and brands are not mandatory, they are recommended. They have proven comfortable in all conditions, durable and very cost effective.

 

The use of scarlet red, royal blue or white jerseys is required.

 

The use of one of the above logo designs is also required.  Use of common design promotes the organization as a whole and brand recognition.  Any permutations or alterations to the design(s) would require approval from the Tampa Titans Inc and should be limited to changes to make the image easier to print, stitch, screen or read and should not deviate from the fundamental design.

 

The silk screen design above is owned by the Tampa Titans, Inc and is held by B & B Sports.  Use of the design by teams authorized to do so by the Tampa Titans Baseball, Inc. through B & B, does not require any licensing fees would not require additional set-up fees. 

 

Having the design replicated by another vendor for a silk screen, transfer or tackle twill pattern as is currently designed is allowed with permission of the Tampa Titans, Inc. The cost of any associated setup fees  would be incumbent on manager / coach seeking to have the design sourced elsewhere.
